As I am sure some of you have spotted, Obsidian/Atari have decided that we should be spared the more "creative" words in the English language - words such as cockerel and shitsu - which they feel are not right for inclusion in our character names ;)
It has also come to my attention that players wishing to list certain professions in their name have been prevented! For example, "Gregor the Analyst" was unhappy to find his name become "Gregor the lolyst".
Further more, fans of ice skating were horrified to discover that they were unable to make a character based on their favourite skater, Irina Slutskaya - "Irina ladyskaya" just didn't have the same ring to it!
Here is a UI modification that lifts the restriction on the names of our more amusing wildlife and professions in our player character names :)
That they want to censor themselves is silly, but respectable... that they want to censor others (meaning each one of their players) is intolerable. Great work... a pitty it is necesary.

Yay. 1000th download. Do I win anything? Anyway, a 10. Because this genuinely IS groundbreaking and therefore definitely fits the 10 in the voting standards. It IS groundbreaking to all the censoring christian *ssh*l*s who try to ruin the world for everyone else because they're too ret*rded to deal with life.

I never thought I would need this hak, until I did need it. It's a lovely humble piece of work, and I love it for keeping my names and phonetics looking "right". Thank you!

I say that there is quite enough censorship in the video game industry as it is. We should be able to choose our own names. Good work! _________________________ ADK Kunoichi 0 French: Link Kunoichi 1 French: Link Kunoichi 1 English: Link Kunoichi 2 French: Link Kunoichi 2 English: Link

People who vote a 1 on this for no reason are the cause of game companies getting away with censorship in the first place. If the parents of a child are lax enough to let their kid play the game and not care what the child uses as a character name why is it the game companies job to step in and parent for them? _________________________ "Save Early, Save Often"

This deserves a 10 for being a ground breaking acheivement against evil corporate christian America, which is slowly suffocating not only all sources of fun, but all sources of imagination, creativity, knowledge, and society as we know it. I reccommend all people please download this now and rate a 10. All people who come to this download and rate it less then 8 are obviously complete *bleep*ing morons with no sense of honor, dignity, or even intelligence. _________________________ @===============================================@ Vinchenzo made a post here. Plz check out my entries. I'm currently making a few simple modules, designing 3 special characters, and hope to someday be good this stuff. This is Vinchenzo, finishing his post with the following advice: Don't use Latin improperly (Lupis means grey, Rufus is red, Canid is dog, so on.) Furries annoy me with their improper usage of such. And I'm a furry!!! Ugh... Don't vote for Beta things unless told they are finished, unless posted specifically by the author. Don't abuse the vote and post function, don't vote for your own/friends stuff just to get a high vote. Don't flame vote either just to be an ass. There is a voting system for how the points are used, even I forget, but we should follow it (and tattoo it to our forehead, lol) @===============================================@

jeff_m, you are using such an exaggerated definition of "censorship" that the burden of proof is on you to demonstrate that you are not in fact trolling.

Your game? Evidently you've never read the EULA. You purchased the privelige of placing the software on one computer. They still own the software so they can censor anything they like since they still own it. Besides, this is a silly argument: everyone censors. Anytime you believe something, you must censor its opposite. You can't believe two opposing docrines (at least in a sane manner) at the same time. You can't even have law without censorship, since laws censor actions that it deems morally, politically, etc objectionable.
10 - A Masterpiece, Genuinely Groundbreaking 9 - Outstanding, a Must Have 8 - Excellent, Recommended to Anyone 7 - Very Good, Deserves a Look 6 - Good, Qualified Recommendation 5 - Fair, Solid yet Unremarkable 4 - Some Merit, Requires Improvements 3 - Poor Execution, Potential Unrealized 2 - Very Little Appeal 1 - Not Recommended to Anyone
