FAQ
===========
1.
Question: How to move xUI elements around?
Answer: Every element that the xUI adds, except the small party bar and the quickspell bar, can be dragged around. They have an 8 pixel border around them where they can be dragged from.
2.
Question: What files will be overwritten by this UI?
Answer: None.
3.
Question: Does this work with PW's?
Answer: Yes, but xUI has to be installed on the server. There is right now no way around this and nothing I can influence because this is how NWN 2 is designed.
4.
Question: My xUI is not working properly since NWN 2 v1.04 how do I fix that?
Answer: Make sure you have installed at least xUI v1.4 and check that the following two NWN 2 options are activated:
- Game Options -> Interface -> Show Horizontal Hotbar 1
- Game Options -> Interface -> Show Modebar
Known problems
===========
1.
In multiplayer the xUI configuration might not be saved.
2.
Hotbar hotkeys do not work completely the same way they work in the default NWN 2 UI. Hotbar hotkeys will only work for the first row of the xUI hotbars. Have a look at the Readme for more details.
3.
At the moment the hotkeys for the hotbar do only work after you pressed Shift-1 once.
I am looking into this to find a solution.
Have fun

Dear XiDragon, As a long time user of your excellent mod, I've enjoyed the added flexibility that xUI grants users. I hope that you do consider reworking it in terms of the compatibility with SoZ. Of course, I'd understand if work or other commitments prevent this but it'd be a shame to play NWN2-SoZ without the extended hot bar, bard hot keys and other familiar xUI features! Best wishes to you.

I agree with you about courtesy. If you like mod, vote and thank. While most people enjoyed your mod, not everyone come and vote, mostly because they simply won't bother. Its because of modders, that we play games like NWN and Morrowind for years.. And you get a BIG Thank You from me personally, because i have hard time playing without your UI. Best Wishes Xi :)

The following is not meant as showing off. It is just meant to show you that I know what I am talking about and to show you some figures. I've created a lot of free mods and addons during the last 10 years, for NWN2, Drakensang, Lazarus, Sacred 1 + 2, Sims 2, AOM and many more. All in all it where around 400 mods and addons! All together have generated more than 2.000.000 Downloads served to 200.000 people. Now compare this to the 1000 "Thank You"-posts I received all together for all my mods and addons. It shows that only 1 of 200 persons that download a mod is saying "Thanks". Don't you think that this is a bit off? Sorry if I hit the wrong persons, but people seem to forget more and more these days what courtesy is about. When I was young my parents taught me to say "Thank You" if someone makes me a gives. Nowadays it seems to me that the morale is to get as much as possible for free and even a "Thank You" is for most too much asked for. That really makes me sad. _________________________ Ever wanted a hotbar for party commands, or a separated Bard bar, or ... ? xUI - Major NWN2 UI Enhancement

..Oh, sorry we asked for update. And sorry we don't come here to chat everyday about weather. Were you expecting us, "Leechers", as you called the mod users, to come by every day and praise your Ui then? I guess an "A Masterpiece, Genuinely Groundbreaking" vote is not enough. What exactly is there you want? What is it you don't like? Thats the way it works- Modders make mods, upload them and let everyone enjoy them and the best reward author can get are great votes of "Leechers". Some of them get 112 votes and Hall Of Fame rewards e.t.c Must you be so overdramatic anyway? You must understand, that we all appreciated what you did. And you must understand, that this is just an UI mod- Not an epic story-drived mod- these getmuch more attention, because there are things to talk about. Yours The Leecher.

Hi Xi, I can really understand what you mean. My english is nowadays a little bit poor, sorry for mistakes in the further text As we speak in germany: The world pays with ingratitude. I did´nt know if I posted in this threat before, but I must say, that you´re UI-mod is the one I like most. A few years ago, when I worked on the german translation of the Ultima V - Lazarus mod, it was the same. We only got really few forum postings, but when the mod and the translated version was finally released, I was proud to see my name in the credits. the few forum postimgs did´nt matter anymore. The many postings concerning an updated version of X-UI should show you: You have many fans out there. And be sure there are much more who did´nt demand an update in a post, but look often for an updated version. Maybe they´re timorous, maybe they´re just lazy. Or their english is much poorer than mine? It does´nt matter. People are as they are. For me, NWN2 is not complete without your UI. So I still hope, that you´ll get the kick to release an update. Yours UVLWheezle

I'm sorry you feel that way. I only just found xUI and think it is the best UI I have seen. I only asked because I can not play wnw2/MoTB without your mod now and would love to be able to use it for SoZ. I apologize if my question/request offended you in any way. My intention was just to point that that like me many people love your mod and would love to be able to use it with SoZ, it was not in any way a demand for you to update your mod. I know sometimes great modders are taken for granted along with there mods sometimes. I just hope that come to realize that some of us who can not make what you can, are just left with asking modders like you, for help.

Look at this, now they are posting like hell. Why do most of you guys only post if you want something from me? Think about it. What are you doing in RL with people that come to you only if they want something from you? Before SoZ came out and xUI worked fine there was one post once in a month, now there are 5 in 4 weeks. If you would post like this if all is working fine I would still be motivated to do more for this community. If I could make my mods only available to other modders on the Vault, or selected people who contributed to the community, I would do so and I would update this mod and post other mods I've done just for these good fellas but not anymore for you leechers out there. :-P As long as most of you guys behave like leechers, modder like me will run away. _________________________ Ever wanted a hotbar for party commands, or a separated Bard bar, or ... ? xUI - Major NWN2 UI Enhancement

I love this mod, I have been using it with Motb. One question is it compatible with SoZ?
