The Magical Miscellanea Package (MMP) is a large collection of items for NWN2 single player and multiplayer modules (including persistent worlds). The intention of this pack is to provide builders with a greater variety of items to draw upon in creating NWN2 content. More importantly, however, they are about fun and this is reflected in my very simple policy regarding their use (i.e. use and change them however you please). I would like it if people gave credit when using them, but I will hardly try and enforce it. Finally, I would love for people to vote and share their thoughts with me; even if you feel they're not particularly substantial, I want to hear them!
Thanks goes out to the following:
-The community of the Frontier PW (now Legacy: Dark Age of Britain).
-fkirenicus for helping with the ioun stones.
-J.O.G. for his help with the ability boosting books.
-The community of the NWN2 Bioware forums.
-kamal for testing.
-Hoegbo for continued assistance (and in particular: ideas!).

Q. How many items are there currently?
A. About 770.
Q. How do I install and use these?
A. See instructions below (files).
Q. Are the items for Forgotten Realms modules and PWs only?
A. No! In fact, there are no setting-specific references in almost all (>95%) of the items.
Q. Can the items make characters register as illegal on servers that enforce legal characters?
A. The ability boosting books can, yes. As a rule of thumb, just backup your characters before using any items from this pack if you're concerned.
DISCLAIMER: I do not take creative credit for the entirety of the items included here and in some cases items are clearly inspired by outside sources and in these instances I do my best not to misrepresent them as my own work and credit the original creators. Please let me know if you take issue with any particular inclusions.

Just to answer my own question, the erf can be extracted with nwn2packer then dumped to override. Very nice indeed. I can't get the ioun stones to animate properly...am I missing something? and I can't seem to find the +2, nor the +3 ioun stones, just the simplest ones.

How can I exactly open the OC in toolset? So I can add this. Or maybe there's an easier workaround. Voted!
I'm planning on putting out a big release sometime early next year combining some things I've had on hand for a while, plus some new stuff. I'll post a little preview when I know exactly what's going to be in it. Once again, I am absolutely taking requests, so if there's something you would like to see just let me know.
Thanks to those who've tried out the MMP and please remember to vote as we're very close to making Hall of Fame after nearly three years! _________________________ AP Magical Miscellanea Package (v1.5, over 750 items): Link

Having just done a large custom item pack for my own use. I can see how much work goes into this. _________________________ Shadow Thief: Crimmor and Path of Evil blog Link
(Apologies, my comment was cut off there, here's the second paragraph in full.)
In my case, about .01% of the downloads have resulted in new votes, which isn't ideal. Personally, I would sooner take a vote of less than 5 with a list of constructive criticisms than no vote at all. I am trying to tailor the pack to you as individuals, as well as the community, so please feel free to share your thoughts with me. If you feel they're too long winded for here, or even too harsh, just email me. _________________________ AP Magical Miscellanea Package (v1.5, over 750 items): Link
I would really like to encourage folks to vote and comment after downloading, not only for this pack but for all the item blueprints - and all the releases in quieter parts of the NWVault while we're at it.

1.6 is in the works, but I can't really give an ETA yet. Some features of it are: sequencer robes, the blink/teleportation items, new non-class restricted item sets (AC set bonus probably), and a host of unique magical items (with fun properties, and little stories attached to them, as in the past).
There'll be some changes/fixes too, for example: sequencers will no longer be class restricted as of 1.6, that way you can store spells and pass the sequencer along to a non-spellcaster for use. The sequencer robes (1.6) will be an exception though. _________________________ AP Magical Miscellanea Package (v1.5, over 750 items): Link
1.5 is out. Please see the item list for a comprehensive review of what is included in version 1.5. I didn't have as much time for testing/reviewing as I would've liked, so please email if you find any problems (see my profile here) and I'll get onto them as soon as I can manage. _________________________ AP Magical Miscellanea Package (v1.5, over 750 items): Link
1.5 is due out pretty soon. I cut out the generic loot items as they were a little difficult to keep interesting and of high quality. This means 1.5 is down to fewer items (a little under 100 I think), but for the first time nearly all of them are scripted in some way. The only thing left is to script the persistent spell rings, which are proving a little bit tough, but I think they'll be worth it. I'll probably also have to change the names, to avoid confusion with the Persistent Spell metamagic feat.
I've also elected not to include the NWN2 armour items with moving speed reductions in the MMP itself, just because they're not really in the spirit of it. They're still available separately though for those who want to inject a little extra realism into your modules whilst using original NWN2 content. _________________________ AP Magical Miscellanea Package (v1.5, over 750 items): Link
Interesting, it looks like prices are a bit of a recurring issue. I was hoping setting additional costs would ensure that there was always a cost, even when using custom effects. I suppose in that instance kamal, it would be possible for me to just replace the current effect with a CON boost, but that's not ideal. Any idea how to force a cost on an item? _________________________ AP Magical Miscellanea Package (v1.5, over 750 items): Link

Another bug to report. The lesser amulet of endurance (gives +15 hp), is bugged, it costs 2gp ingame despite having 8750 as additional cost on it. I recreated this amulet using the toolset, and the game engine assigns it this incorrect price. The toolset seems to give only 1gp of value to the extra hp enchantment. _________________________ Shadow Thief: Crimmor and Path of Evil blog Link

I cant wait to see what goodies will turn up in the next release. Looking forward to it ,and the DA items are awesome I'll be sure to take a look into those as soon as I can make time for it. thanks for your continuous work. _________________________ Link
I've released a mini-pack containing NWN2-ized versions of the Dragon Age consumables (health poultices, etc.), just for fun. These will of course be included in the next release of the MMP. Check 'em out! _________________________ AP Magical Miscellanea Package (v1.5, over 750 items): Link
I'm finally back to working on the MMP in my spare time and will try and get a substantial release out before Christmas. A lot of the items I've listed for 1.5 were already finished and tested, but I'd rather just take some time and make it a huge release. I'll be looking at continuing with the transition to US English for item names and descriptions, and also addressing bugs/issues that have arisen since 1.4 (including the pricing problems the pack is having, cheers for pointing those out Kamal).
This is starting to feel like a blog entry or something, so I'll wrap it up. Thanks! _________________________ AP Magical Miscellanea Package (v1.5, over 750 items): Link

possible bug. I put in some of the grenadelike weapons, and the tester reported their cost as a negligible 10 gold. I see the base cost of 6610 with an additional cost of 5610 _________________________ Shadow Thief: Crimmor and Path of Evil blog Link

Don't know where else to report bugs.

Well, I've gone and spoke too soon again. 1.5 will still be a little ways off due to constraints on my time (read: a thesis). However I'll probably try and get out at least one mini-pack from the 1.5 stuff I've done, just so I can say I did release something. The Dragon Age consumables seem the most likely at this stage. _________________________ AP Magical Miscellanea Package (v1.5, over 750 items): Link
1.5 will be coming out sometime this month and will be the last release for a few months. There are currently around 150 planned items, but I'm going to be shooting for 200. The list includes:
-Item sets (see: item sets mini-pack in my profile)
-Unique and magical keys which allow the PC to open locks (doors or placeables) of a certain DC (these are plot sensitive and only work on objects that don't already require keys). Currently they are single uses, but that is easily changed.
-Dragon Age consumables (excluding Lyrium Potions and certain other items). The poultices will utilise Spellcraft (or possibly Craft Alchemy) to determine results and will function similarly to the poultices in DA but adjusted for NWN2 (e.g. instead of (50+Spellpower)*2 for a Health Poultice it might be (20+Spellcraft)*1.5). I really liked the consumables in DA and thought that others might have also enjoyed them and liked to use a similar approach in NWN2. As with other items in this package, these won't have any explicit references to a particular setting (in this case, the Dragon Age setting).
-Generic loot to make rifling through chests and things feel a little more realistic and substantive. Some items might be utterly useless and have no value (e.g. Empty Jar), but some might be worth keeping and selling later (e.g. Silk Purse).
-Elemental runes of varying strength that add elemental damage bonuses to weapons (+2 for Lesser, +4 for standard and +6 for Greater probably). I may limit runes to one per weapon, to prevent them stacking up like crazy.
-'Persistent' spell rings which apply a low level spell on equipping (e.g. Shield or Protection from Missiles) which isn't removed until the item itself is unequipped. I'm not sure if this is fully possible yet, but be certain I'll give it a go! (the idea was inspired by the spell rings in BG2)
That's all I can remember for now. Note that there will also be some major revision of older items, including the addition of class restrictions to enchanter's kits and a review of item prices and properties again, as there seems to be a few recurring minor problems (for example, some items seem to be set to identified by default for testing purposes, but haven't been changed back).
Please email me (via my profile here) if you have any ideas or feedback, thank you. _________________________ AP Magical Miscellanea Package (v1.5, over 750 items): Link

OOOh this very nice! Shiny things!
I love these new items Apep; a lot of work must have gone into this.
Hey guys, there's another mini-pack on the way. This time it consists of item sets that yield a bonus when you complete a set by equipping all the items. Currently there's one set per base class and the bonus is to their primary attribute but in future I'm going to get a bit more creative and include some non-class specific sets for general use that might provide more interesting bonuses. They should be up within a day or so, I'll post a link into the entry.
In other news: we're only eight votes away from Hall of Fame, so if you've downloaded the file in the past and liked it (or even disliked it!), please consider voting. Cheers! _________________________ AP Magical Miscellanea Package (v1.5, over 750 items): Link
-Item sets for each base class that provide a set completion bonus in the form of an attribute boost on top of standard item bonuses. Most sets consist of three items, although some are smaller or larger, and generally they're armour items (chest, boots, gloves, helmets etc.) rather than weapons, but again some are different. Non-class specific sets may also be included.
-The entire set of NWN2 armours featuring movement speed reductions for realistic mods/PWs.
-Expansions on current inclusions, specifically the Enchanter's Kits, which will be opened up a lot to include kits that add elemental damage and visual effects to weapons. I may also attempt to impose a limit on the number of kits you may apply to a single item. _________________________ AP Magical Miscellanea Package (v1.5, over 750 items): Link
