Rites of Ascension, Chapter 1: Turmoil in Sosiane - The PCs arrive at the normally peaceful town of Sosiane during a time of martial law. The gates are locked, and no one may leave the city without the consent of the Town Council. Shortly before the PCs arrived, a band of unknown thieves committed a terrible crime: the theft of the legendary Shield of the Dragoneye, the symbol of the strength and unity of the people of the area. Now that the PCs are confined within the city walls, an important question seems to keep coming up: was the theft an act of simple greed, or is there something more behind the theft of this national treasure? Notes: 1. Henchmen are available to round out the party; they use the Pausanias_Auldar Henchmen AI, but the Henchman Inventory management system has been updated with options from NWN 1.62. 2.
