V1.06 - You start in the city of Scornubel where your father runs a less than legitimate business. You regularly take part in his dealings, and today is no different, or so you think; little do you know, you are being hunted... Henchmen/women are available and add to the story, and if you see a house, chances are you can go inside and take stuff from it (except in Scornubel), but all this stuff is in the readme.
That's fine, as commoners will only be used to fill places or give small quests; sounds like they'd make a nice change to the standard ones :). Work on DS2 will probably be delayed for a day or 2 anyway, as my AS results are out tomorrow, and I'll either spend the time comiserating or celebrating with friends. As a side comment for anyone, if you haven't seen the king arthur movie, don't. The acting and scenery was good, but the plot was pretty bad, and the 'accuracies' probably came on par with inaccuracies.

I'll have to dig 'em out from another mod where I got bored of the Bioware npc models and decided to tart them up a bit (gave amost of the female peasants skirts, blatant tomboys exepted etc). Gimme some time finding them.

I had great fun using Balder's Hauberks and altering all the enemies armour and making it droppable in DS2... well, thats a lie, I had to wait for each area to load, and I went to a lot of effort to make all armour varied, but if even one person appreciates it when DS2 comes out, it will be worth it. Btw, I've created the basics of Tethyr now in DS2 (given up with the elves for now), and will move onto wherever I said the PC was going to go after that (wow, my planning for this is good ;)) in a few days time, so any time you want to send across whatever generic people alterations you've done, it would be appreciated. You should finish it, and post it on the vault, as its something nobody has thought of yet to my knowledge. You can't deny this is off topic though. When else do mod authors talk about weddings they've been to etc? Also, this LAN problem may take longer than anticipated. I'm just going to say that the next update will be up in the future, but I'll post when I update it. :)

Off topic? You'd be surprised. I'm currently playing around with Balder's latest head haks and updated armour robe hak and enjoying them too much to actualy play much at the moment.

Thanks Balgin, thats gonna save some unnecessary stress, which is really appreciated. Just goes to show, you may be able to make competent scripts, but the obvious still manages to escape some of us ;) Elizabeth, it must be nice to do your own wedding, as you can get things done exactly how you want them rather than having someone else use their ideas. There were so many people at that thing, when it came to desert, you had to queue up, and after queueing for 15mins or more, I got bored and wandered off in search of something less tedious! I've just got a 56k dialup, but in true british style quality I can't connect at anything better than 45kbps so it takes even longer. The problem this time though is the LAN connection between the computer I'm currently typing on, and the one that I do everything on (this comp was re formatted, and each time we re format it, it takes a while of messing about to get the connection working) the connection is there, it just won't do anything. Btw, any reason for being weary or just one of those things? I think this must be the most off topic forum there is sometimes. Well, better than having a flame war on it ;)

If I could afford a wedding like that, I'd show off too! I work in theatre (I'm a set designer) - staging my own wedding was just hosting a medium-sized production -- but 800 people is big by ANY standards. Mrmonko, what's your internet connection? Just curious ... sounds like you're stuggling. -- Weary E

Even if you put stuff in containers they'll still get the default Bioware treasure spawning in them unless you go to the properties tab and remove the onopen and ondeath scripts as those put treasure in them. Annoying that you have to do it for each one but that's the way it is.

Okay, the updated version of the mod id finished... but the connection between my computer and the one connected to the net isn't working :(. There's no simple way to transfer the file, so v.1.05 is going to have to wait, probably for two more days at least before it gets uploaded.

Got the vigilante quest that kept on appearing! It was in the Athlaka tavern. Piece of advice - never trust the toolset quest wizard thing, it's probably more hassle than it's worth. Heh, the guy hosting the wedding wanted to show off. Apparently the wedding may have cost up to £80,000! (Just hope the marriage lasts at that cost!). Even the invites looked expensive, and they had some of the brides younger friends and family do a v. bollywood dance, which looked like it must have taken a lot of time to rehearse with professionals.

Damn ... I wish I could remember when that journal entry popped up. I'm pretty sure it was in the latter half of the mod -- maybe just after the conversation with henchwoman during the sunset? BTW, 800 people isn't a wedding ... it's a convention! --E
