Alignments
Any alignments are allowed. Two main courses to complete the story, one good and one evil.
Description
This story begins where MTS1- The Mines of Twin Summit left off. The players were cast into hell for their knowledge of the Sun God's plots. They must evade the armies of an ambitious Viscount on their way to safety. Along the way, they will be reunited with some past aquaintences and face some old foes. They will also have to make a choice between two warring celestial brothers, Lord Shin and Sanguinius, to gain the assistance needed to escape from hell and begin the final confrontation with the Sun God.
Please forget about my previous post. Now I remember where are the keys are. And, I re-choose the evil path and completed MTS2.
Now, additional question. Is this module meant to auto-save the PC? Or shall I save my PC by myself after told about the sextant?
I am asking because in my case my PC was not auto-saved. Then I re-load the saved date, chat with the lady, and say "I need to prepare" or something and saved my PC. Then, when starting MTS3 with that saved PC, I found it is starting as if I took the good path.
Hi! Does anybody answer my question regarding the evil course ... a kind of?

The last time I played this mod, I simply chose "good" course. Then IIRC, after slaying Sanguinius, I could open both the door to the lower level and the door to the portal.
This time, as my PC is LE, I tried the evil course first. But as Sanguinius's first request is to kill Master Orwick, and I thought betraying his master at this moment does not suit his personality, I refused (He is at least lawful. Also he is a calculating man and thinks that not only opposing Lord Shin but also opposing his mentor do not worth co-operating with Sanguinius). Then, Sanguinius immediately attacked me and I killed all the members in the fortress. Now, with his key I could open the door to the lower level. Can I somehow get the key to open the door to the portal after this event? Or is this a dead-end choice?
Thanks in advance.

Three of us played this multi-player but never finished the trilogy (finished 1 and 2 but not 3) -- hoping to get another crack at it.
Okay, I think I screwed up something. I decided to side with Shin, but before going on his quest, I went to Susymog's (sp?) area and cleared it, but now I cannot get back! Is the waypoint hidden? Is there an item I am supposed to use? I searched the whole area again without success. I have an archive from just before I decided to side with Shin, so this won't cost me TOO much, but I'd prefer to go forward, not back. Any ideas?
The group that I played with just finished the first part, great module BTW.
I downloaded everything for MTS2 and MTS3, the modules, HAKs, monsters, and tile set. Installed into the correct locations.
When I try, not sure on the others in the group yet, to run the module and select premade character, haven't tried new, it crashes out saying that it can't find a custom talk (tlk) file.
I have the latest CEP installed. 2.2 (used the 22_full_c3 to install).
So any ideas? Other modules play fine, we have been doing this a while now. :)
Well, I just want to know if there are any areas that go hostile on you, that can break quests if you go into them too early, and/or attack someone hostile...
Just finished MTS 1 started with a 17th lvl character am now 27th hope it will be OK to do this mod as hell here I come, actually I am already in hell so hell here I am.

Never mind my previous question -- Fluffy had the key. I'm on to MTS3 now!

Oh, and if anyone can help -- I'm standing at the gate to Fire Lake in Avernus, and I don't have a key. I have scads of other keys, but not this one. Where is it?? (I sided w/ Shin, but not until AFTER I had already killed his brother.)

There aren't a lot of good campaigns out there for mid-level characters, so the MTS series is a rare gem. It's more hack-and-slash than I generally prefer for solo adventuring, but I bet it really shines in multiplayer.
I only had one BIG gripe: The items are ridiculous! I haven't seen stats like these since the final levels of the Pyramid of the Ancients. Seriously, items that max out stats (eg. +12 strength) should only appear when you're Level 40 and kill some kind of god. And you certainly shouldn't be finding items that are +12/+12!!
Minor Gripes:
(1) The economy seems a little wrecked, but that's probably because of the value-capping that was necessary in the face of all those uber-items. Tone the items WAY down, and raise those sell-back caps.
(2) Spelling! It seems such a minor thing, but it really breaks the mood.
(3) Journal Entries: I had to take a couple weeks off to finish some work projects, and I completely lost track of what I was doing. Sadly, there was next to nothing in the Journal to help.
(4) Seems like there should be some dialogue progressions for a lot of the NPCs. I was disappointed that most of them didn't even acknowledge my completion of major quests.
Overall, though, a fun module! Played it with a straight Sorceress w/ a splash of Ranger. I initially intended her to become an Arcane Archer, but decided she'd be better served with a higher spell DC... and yeah, she rocks!

A good solid module with multiple respawn points. Uses a lot of CEP creatures. No real reason it is necessary before MTS 3. Should have just skipped ahead to that part. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

I found the fights boring and repetitive. And there were a lot of spelling errors.

We played this trilogy ages ago as an alternate continuation of our original campaign characters though, unfortunately, we neglected to vote. We remedy that now. We have searched far and wide for excellent multiplayer mods and this is, by far, the best epic quest on the vault. _________________________ "In life, one and one don't make two. A good, straightforward hack-n-slash with an interesting setting.

Very fun to play, deffinatly a hack and slash. I liked the items you get off the bosses you killed.

I have finished playing mts1 and while downloading mts2 I get a message that it won't load, I am missing the custom talk table. Any idea where I can find this? Thank you.
Came across your mods and they look interesting, but am slightly confused:
I wanted to install all three so I could move from one to the next without having to take a break to install each piece, but the .bic files in part 2 want to overwrite those from part 1, and the newer ones are double the size. Are these simply updated, more detailed, etc, or must I leave the first versions and install the larger files for the second mod?

Very good hack-n-slash. Some combats were a bit repetitious, though, but there were some very nice surprises too. Well-designed artifacts, enjoyable plot. Could use a bit more description, a bit more variation in the combats, and a spellchecker.

I just killed Susymog, pit fiend lord, had his head, but where do i finish the quest?? master zor.? I cant find him, thx !!!
Sorry, wrong term, not cheat code, debug mode...derf...I'm really enjoying this a LOT, by the way, as a Monk/Champion of Torm combo, and it's challenging, (which is pretty hard for a high level monk.)
Okay, so what if you killed susymog and managed to lose your sextant. (Don't ask how, I don't know, I just don't have it.) What's the code for it so I can get it via cheat codes, etc. I really would rather not replay the whole module again :-)
