The story begins in an old run down inn at the back roads of some forgotten town. Two girls sit patiently in their room together. One sits quietly at the table with a pen in her hand, while her two notebooks lay open on the table. The other girl stands in the bedroom, looking uneasily at herself in the mirror. She has a secret that up until tonight, only she and a select few knew. Grace is her name and she is about to do something that she has never done before, tell someone her secret. The other girl, sitting at the table, we don't know her name yet, she is about to document the whole thing.
The end boss is a killer. Any tips besides hit her with everything and don't run?

For betrayal stories taking a turn, this was one of the best!
Still, as others have commented, overly wide areas; can cause panic with food and water time limits, and unclear goals.
I actually played this game "backwards".
The review is correct in that I would give the module a 10 if the author put"A little bit more work cleaning up some aspects would greatly improve it." _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.
the module is really good and I'm having fun playing it!!congratulations I've problem at the docks because Grace can't travel due to weather.I've killed four vampires Alice Evalyn Ira and Brahm ...what do I have to do ?Did I miss anything?do i have kill other vampires?where can i find them?sorry for questions but I will be very upset if I can 't omplete the module,I'm really loving it:D thanks in advance:)
Amgs! This is what I get for playing multiple modules at one time. You can just ignore the first posting I made(It's nice to receive credit..however it's my fault to be talking to someone about someone elses stuff!) XD I'm a little embarrassed..I'm sure you'll think I must have been high on something LOL! But no, you are more than welcome to delete my first posting..Oy! Sorry about that =S _________________________ If I had a choice between Chaos and Destruction, I would have to choose Chaos followed by Destrustion!! (Bad Paladin!Sorry Torm...Can't help Myself!) =P
Oh a few other things...I went inside the vampire cave and found Misty..I didn't speak to the mayor until I got back..but when I tried to speak to him a second time all I get from him is "...my..daughter..." I have Misty's doll in my inventory..I also helped the guy take out the ivy and the trees out of the way...why won't the mayor talk to me?? *sniffs* He probably doesn't like me?? So I am also stuck with that quest unfinished. =S _________________________ If I had a choice between Chaos and Destruction, I would have to choose Chaos followed by Destrustion!! (Bad Paladin!Sorry Torm...Can't help Myself!) =P
Wow, I haven't played this module in like forever! Well, I am back and I've forgotten a lot of things. E. Lee...Help!! I could have sworn you had a bit of a Walkthrough for these mods..I am a bit stuck! XD I have the forge already working, the altar is lit and the door that had some kind of ward is open..I placed the sphere on the little pedestal looking thing and I have the mithril, I always forget though..what does Tanar'ri mean?? XD HELP PLS!! Thanks a lot dood..and I am truly enjoying this game so far..will rate once I am done with this part. _________________________ If I had a choice between Chaos and Destruction, I would have to choose Chaos followed by Destrustion!! Finally i did it, but now i feel like i unlocked some kind of bad ending. I don' t found a cure for the penguin and grace don' t have memories back. Is possible to have alternate ending?

Damn... i can' t defeat Zipporah. I don' t have the time to resurrect one of my party she already killed the other...
I have fought everithing to gain experience but she is too strong. I tried to take off her weapon but i was never able to did it.
This is the most exagerated module i ever played with many *bleep*ing overpowered weapons and monsters. But i don' t like to see an epic summoned creature easily defeated by a standard enemy. I think overpowering weapons and armors, and make supermonsters to normalize the difficulty, ruin the gameplay.
The update was the induction into the HOF the actual Mod file is unchanged, wish that files all had their own update field would save a fair bit of confusion methinks.
I played this module before and enjoyed it, so the new post got my attention. Can you tell me what was updated? The files in the download are all still dated in 2005. It's been a while since I played, so Im going to go thru it again anyway, but I was just wondering if much has changed.

Decided to play this one again since its been a while but....
Lands of Reville is dark. Always dark. Not a little darker during the day, not gloomy, DARK. Nighttime all the time. It doesn't change, not even a little no matter what time it is.
Note that theres nothing wrong with my monitor or video card.
Can this be corrected by me or would Sturgill actually have to be the one to do it?
MurlynLAN, many many thanks to you for the great review, I really enjoyed reading it.
***SPOILERS***
Emaleth Donnelaith, In order to get Millie to take you on her boat you have to have the following vampire's keys in your inventory...Ira, Bram, Alice, Evalyn, and Merrick. You also have to have slept in both taverns. 1st is in The Lands of Revielle and 2nd the top of Mt. Gnash at the docks where Millie's boat is. Each vampire has their key on their corpse when they are defeated. Hope this helps.
***MINOR SPOILERS***
Tali, the wolf doesn't appear anymore after Grace's first encounter with it. It was going to have a role later in the game but I didn't have time to fully implement it. But I chose to keep it's encounter in the game any. I found that it made the following events a little more surprising and unexpected. Which is also the same reason that the shop has many items that Grace cannot afford. It let's the player believe that they'll be able to return to that shop again and again and eventually save up enough for some of the more expensive items. Which, as you know, doesn't happen.
***END SPOILERS***
Thanks to everyone else for their votes, comments, and for playeing Sunlight Requiem.

Very well created!! The fights were tough but worth the effort. Thought-provoking story.
My only Kibitz's certainly didn't stop me from playing or enjoying this but here they are:
More experiance and allowances for rogue-style solutions rather than just killing...
The depth of some of the conversations with NPC's as well as with Saffron are fairly shallow, they lack the intensity & depth that the story line would seem to require...
It would've been nice to be able to interact with more of the NPC's...
I would've liked to see a conclusion to Phil's enchantment/curse...
Possibly remembering & gaining abilities or experiance during the dream sequences...
A more fleshed out storyline regarding how she came be Saffron's Lady, as well as the conclusion & interaction with Saffron following the final battle. Actually Role playing/ seeing her turning ritual rather than just the reference to it...
The ability to interact with Phil with either Druid or Ranger as a Multi-class character...
I do hope to see more from you in the future. Thank you
Greetings, I am enjoying your module, but am at a standstill atm. I am trying to get Millie (?) to take me on her ship, and reading further down I am supposed to have keys? I have killed Merrick, Evalyn, Ira, Alice and Brahm.. cannot remember if Meier was killed, the note says level 2? If there was ahhh, on the ship perhaps when leaving the home town? If so there wasn't a way that I knew of to get his key from his corpse.
Anyhoo, I have keys for Merrick, Evalyn, Ira and Alice. Now if I was given a key for Brahm, then I either lost it opening up his sarcophagus, or it was not plotted and I accidently sold it. I did speak to Brahms before the fight, and can't rightly recall if there was even a key on him to be honest. I took a peek in the toolset to see if I could DM spawn it, and noticed too that there are two other keys.. one for Florayne and Soma. Are they supposed to be found and killed before the boat? I believe I have covered all the areas before Mt. Gnash, and have done all the side quests (Adam's never finishes too btw after you find his chest) I could not get Brahms key to spawn, so I gave up to read here more.
I don't know if I broke the story either as I rested and spoke to Saffron before I searched for and killed Evalyn. Heh ehh had to do quite a bit of backtracking as I tend to explore every bit of a module I play, and realized I was getting into some areas before my time.
I'd really like to continue on with this, but like I said.. I am at a standstill due to not being able to hire the boat.
Thanks for any help. Great job on the mod! _________________________ Dreu Noctem.
I'm not really far in the mod but I have one burning question :) Yes curiosity killed the cat ;)
So: what's the point of the trapped wolf back home near the treehouse? Gracie saved it, fed it and cleaned its wounds, then was told to let it rest,so she went to see MArgaret and then she had to go see her father. We all know what happened next. No exp gained, no journal entry, I actally thought it was gonna be an animal companion but alas... So?

I overall enjoyed the module. I love rogue oriented modules although I must say that yours made me feel at times like being more of a fighter than a rogue but maybe it was just my fault cause of the way I've chosen to play. I should have used more of my rogues' abilities but towards the end I felt a little tired. I just thought to myself that maybe the story should have ended earlier. It felt that you were stretching it just to make it last longer.
There were times I've found the battles overwhelming and was thrilled when I've came upon penguin. Also, I would have liked to have the option to let at least my sister go. It seemed rather harsh to kill her.
I love modules that have to do with vampires. They have that dark mysterious feel which your module also had. I was excited with the idea of becoming a vampire hunter and would have liked to see more of a training.I liked Grace's personal stuff, especially armors and weapons. I've enjoyed opening the chests of the other vampires and discovering that they stored great treasures :).
I believe that this module could have been even better if some points were more looked after but it shows that you've put a lot of effort building it. Hope you"ll continue making modules :)

I enjoyed it. Sure i could pick it apart like some of the other comments but i can't be bothered.
Gets a high score also cause female rouge halflings are my favorite character to play.
Now that you have a review, Im sure you will be getting more traffic on this mod, including myself, who has passed it over at first. I would love to try this with only a few rogue levels and mostly mage; can you give me some suggestions on which levels to dump skill pts into pick pocket; how high this needs to go. I guess I could hack in some pp gear and wiz scrolls/general wiz gear if you dont have them in your stores, but if you do, and can advise me on how to make this work, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks.
You should probably change the Roleplay level to light or non-existant. I'm basically being guided through what I've played so far without any options.
The dialect also seems a bit too modern for my taste. But I'll try and plow through the rest and see what I think. :)
I really love this mod...but I'll vote after I´ve finished it.
Anyways, I have a little problem.
I have killed Merrick, Ira, Brahm, Alice and Evalyn...basicly all vampires with named locations or that are easy to find.
I have been all over the mod... where are the others? Please send me a mail or something...I want to know how it ends!(or, to be truthful, I want to know if it ends in the way I think it will)

So far I really enjoy playing this mod! I like the dark feel of it. I run into occasional plot bugs, but I think I can find a way around them.

Before I start I would just like to say that this mod had some awesome potential, but various flaws made it a bad experience (for me anyway)
The storyline was awesome. The characters were well done and the plot was interesting. What I didn't like however, was the number of nearly impossible encounters. One rogue vs. 20 something skeleton warriors, nymphs and dryads with death spells, and 10 or so frost giants...never very good odds and not much fun with dying all the time. Sure its cool having a penguin at your side, but even he wasn't a lot of help in those situations. Another indication of how hard they were was how many times Saffron died. I found myself reviving him after every single encounter. Eventually, got so tired of dying that I turned on god mode and just hacked away (simply to see how the story ended).
A good amount of custom items that were very nice. Side quests were interesting as well. Ran into a few plot issues (I simply read the vampire journal instead of picking it up, therefore I missed a journal entry and the Guardian and Brahm didn't acknowledge me.)
Yes, I gave you a low score, but that does not mean that I want you to stop making mods. In fact, I would love to see more mods from you (just tone down the gaggles of impossible rated creatures that come at you at once, eh?) ;)

Wow, I really enjoyed this mod, despite the difficult encounters.

I forgot to vote when I played this module aboutsix months ago, but better late than never. And I get to be the one who bumps it into Hall of Fame consideration. :D

I've just finished playing this mod, and really enjoyed it. The story was immersive, and I wanted to find out what happened. I don't usually like playing with supplied characters, but felt it worked well with this one. The only real flaws I found were the sized of areas - sometimes it took forever to get where you were going - and the dialogue, which felt at times rather stilted. It would have been nice to have more dialogue options with Saffron, to get a feeling of gettting to know him again. Like others, I'd also like to know what happened to Phil!
Just wanted to pop in for a bit and express just how much I am LOVING this module!!!
I am still knee-deep in the second episode, so I'll try not to take up too much space in these forums.... (since I haven't finished the series yet, heh, then I'll prattle on even more, hehe.)
Seriously, though, I am captivated by this story. I have never played as a Halfling before... ever. Let alone one such as Grace. I, for one, am glad the author included/insisted upon his/her pre-built character; it only adds to the story...
Argh!!! I don't mean for this to sound like a review as I haven't even finished the second act yet... So I shall sign off for now...
Only thing is, I disagree whole-heartedly with DAFace, who just tore the module apart without even giving it a chance, it seems. There were many things in the Author's "read-me" file that it seems DAFace did not bother to read. Also, I disagree with DAFace's comments about wandering around aimlessly not knowing where to go...(I'm paraphrasing from his post, not sure about the etiqutte here in these forums).
The way is clearly spelled out through NPC dialouge as well as little bits of info Grace picks up along the way... I think it's great how, even though the plot is (seemingly) linear, the Author left it up to the PC to hunt down and search for the side quests. That, IMHO, gives a non-linear 'feel' to a linear module. There are no arrows or blinking lights leading to anything, the PC must decipher for themselves...
Anyway, I just wanted to put in my two cents worth... and also thank the Author of this... The last 6 hours have been more fun than I've had in NWN in a long, long time.
G'day E. Lee Sturgill,
I'm loving this mod. It's great to see a mod so well crafted and attention to story. I also love the quirky aspects, such as Phil.
I'll vote when I'm finished but I'd ike to make a quick comment now.
SPOILERS
I almost gave up because I couldn't get Millie to take me on her ship to the Isle of Despair (great name!) It seemed to me that I had wait for the weather to change or get someone to change it for me (which is when I realised that I haven't seen any druids - not a problem, just an observation). I almost gave up but after reading the other entries here, I'm going to go back home (another great feature by the way) and collect all the keys that I'd kept as souveniers.
I don't think it's a logical connection between Millie not sailing because of the weather, while she's really waiting for all the keys to be present. Maybe you could set it up differently?
END SPOILERS
Anyway, a minor point, and it still is a wonderful effort, well done.
