The story begins in an old run down inn at the back roads of some forgotten town. Two girls sit patiently in their room together. One sits quietly at the table with a pen in her hand, while her two notebooks lay open on the table. The other girl stands in the bedroom, looking uneasily at herself in the mirror. She has a secret that up until tonight, only she and a select few knew. Grace is her name and she is about to do something that she has never done before, tell someone her secret. The other girl, sitting at the table, we don't know her name yet, she is about to document the whole thing.
Narenlith, I've just sent you an Email with some instructions on what you might be able to do to progress. Good luck.

I really love this mod...but I'll vote after I´ve finished it. Anyways, I have a little problem. I have killed Merrick, Ira, Brahm, Alice and Evalyn...basicly all vampires with named locations or that are easy to find. I have been all over the mod... where are the others? Please send me a mail or something...I want to know how it ends!(or, to be truthful, I want to know if it ends in the way I think it will) //Frida

So far I really enjoy playing this mod! I like the dark feel of it. I run into occasional plot bugs, but I think I can find a way around them.

Before I start I would just like to say that this mod had some awesome potential, but various flaws made it a bad experience (for me anyway) The storyline was awesome. The characters were well done and the plot was interesting. What I didn't like however, was the number of nearly impossible encounters. One rogue vs. 20 something skeleton warriors, nymphs and dryads with death spells, and 10 or so frost giants...never very good odds and not much fun with dying all the time. Sure its cool having a penguin at your side, but even he wasn't a lot of help in those situations. Another indication of how hard they were was how many times Saffron died. I found myself reviving him after every single encounter. Eventually, got so tired of dying that I turned on god mode and just hacked away (simply to see how the story ended). A good amount of custom items that were very nice. Side quests were interesting as well. Ran into a few plot issues (I simply read the vampire journal instead of picking it up, therefore I missed a journal entry and the Guardian and Brahm didn't acknowledge me.) Yes, I gave you a low score, but that does not mean that I want you to stop making mods. In fact, I would love to see more mods from you (just tone down the gaggles of impossible rated creatures that come at you at once, eh?) ;)

Wow, I really enjoyed this mod, despite the difficult encounters.

I forgot to vote when I played this module aboutsix months ago, but better late than never. And I get to be the one who bumps it into Hall of Fame consideration. :D

I've just finished playing this mod, and really enjoyed it. The story was immersive, and I wanted to find out what happened. I don't usually like playing with supplied characters, but felt it worked well with this one. The only real flaws I found were the sized of areas - sometimes it took forever to get where you were going - and the dialogue, which felt at times rather stilted. It would have been nice to have more dialogue options with Saffron, to get a feeling of gettting to know him again. Like others, I'd also like to know what happened to Phil!

Hullo All! Just wanted to pop in for a bit and express just how much I am LOVING this module!!! I am still knee-deep in the second episode, so I'll try not to take up too much space in these forums.... (since I haven't finished the series yet, heh, then I'll prattle on even more, hehe.) Seriously, though, I am captivated by this story. I have never played as a Halfling before... ever. Let alone one such as Grace. I, for one, am glad the author included/insisted upon his/her pre-built character; it only adds to the story... Argh!!! I don't mean for this to sound like a review as I haven't even finished the second act yet... So I shall sign off for now... Only thing is, I disagree whole-heartedly with DAFace, who just tore the module apart without even giving it a chance, it seems. There were many things in the Author's "read-me" file that it seems DAFace did not bother to read. Also, I disagree with DAFace's comments about wandering around aimlessly not knowing where to go...(I'm paraphrasing from his post, not sure about the etiqutte here in these forums). The way is clearly spelled out through NPC dialouge as well as little bits of info Grace picks up along the way... I think it's great how, even though the plot is (seemingly) linear, the Author left it up to the PC to hunt down and search for the side quests. That, IMHO, gives a non-linear 'feel' to a linear module. There are no arrows or blinking lights leading to anything, the PC must decipher for themselves... Anyway, I just wanted to put in my two cents worth... and also thank the Author of this... The last 6 hours have been more fun than I've had in NWN in a long, long time. Now, I must get back to little Grace...

G'day E. Lee Sturgill, I'm loving this mod. It's great to see a mod so well crafted and attention to story. I also love the quirky aspects, such as Phil. I'll vote when I'm finished but I'd ike to make a quick comment now. SPOILERS I almost gave up because I couldn't get Millie to take me on her ship to the Isle of Despair (great name!) It seemed to me that I had wait for the weather to change or get someone to change it for me (which is when I realised that I haven't seen any druids - not a problem, just an observation). I almost gave up but after reading the other entries here, I'm going to go back home (another great feature by the way) and collect all the keys that I'd kept as souveniers. I don't think it's a logical connection between Millie not sailing because of the weather, while she's really waiting for all the keys to be present. Maybe you could set it up differently? END SPOILERS Anyway, a minor point, and it still is a wonderful effort, well done. Cheers, Pete
