This is a short module slapped together for the Bioware writing contest. The PC is lost in a forest and must find his or her way out by talking to a paladin, an old hag, and a spirit.
No combat, tricks, or puzzles as per contest rules.

very clever, very short. Kevin, we just wanted to thank you again for TOA. Enjoyed both very much (we can't seem to spell immensly) Look forward to June or July to see what you can do with NWN2 _________________________ Does this armor make my butt look big?

One of my favorite modules so far, the writing is professional and the story works. I can't think of anything major to suggest improvements on. Good work!

The dialog of this module is excellent. Just what i have come to expect from you :)

Good writing, and an interesting setup. Terribly linear. I spent a lot of time running back and forth to get tidbits of information from the paladin--I wish I could have gotten more information at one go (especially since it would make sense for him to tell me everything he knew about the princess as soon as I'd figured out that's who the hag was). I wish I'd had a little more to do in each conversation than to follow it through to the end; I couldn't even react or prompt the teller for the next part of the story ("Go on." or "What happened then?"). In several cases, the hag would say essentially the same thing in response to different questions, but with slight variations depending on what I'd actually said. I liked the polish.

A very good entry for the contest! Kevin Chan's writing is excellent - as always. The story is gripping and atmosopheric, and it did a good job at filling me with a sense of foreboding. Unfortunately, this little mod lacks the subtle wit and unconventional philosophy of Chan's earlier work. Also, the story is very linear, and the dialogues are somewhat slowpaced at the start of the module. Still, a very good job, and I am very much looking forward to seeing more of Chan's work!

The writing was strong, with good dialogue and pacing. It even contained a nice little surprise at the end. This looks like a strong contender.

Good story, with developed characters. Repeated dialog options were annoying though.

Great Story. It tells us that everything does not look what it seems. I'm truly moved by the sacrifice of the princess. _________________________ Overlooked Module Report February 2009 | Master List | Forum Thread Academy of Modding Excellence Romance Module List Horror Module Collection Starlight's favorite module list
