MAKING SCRIPTING EASY!!!

MAJOR NEWS IN 2.0+:

Now interacts with NWN so you can read standard and custom palettes, compile scripts, export to .erf or save directly to module.

Examples of new features in 2.3:

  • Many new 1.67 functions, such as:
  • Trap related functions
  • Appearance related functions
  • SetName!
  • Much, much more!
  • Some bug-fixes.

This is a tool for creating scripts for use in NWN. It covers many of the basic functions that are used frequently in modules, as well as some, perhaps, less frequent ones.

The program is suited for newbies who can't make these scripts themselves as well as skilled scripters who don't want to make the same, similar scripts all the time. It has most of the features of the toolset's script wizard, and much more (this works everywhere, not just in conversation). And it is all integrated in an EASY TO USE WINDOWS ENVIRONMENT - if you know absolutely no scripting, you should be able to use this anyway! The program is just a single file.

The program is released under the GNU General Public License, which basically means you can use it, edit the source code (which is available for download right here as well), and distribute it whichever way you want. The GNU GPL is a very standard open source license, which doesn't limit your use of the software in any way, au contraire, in fact, it lets you do just about anything. If you want to read the License before downloading, it is available as a text file download from this site.

I wish there was another version of this utility but I guess there won't be. It would be nice to add a function that deals with hit points to be used to create a script that checks the hit points of the enemy and triggers an action when an enemy has a certain amount hit points left. because currently it only allows a script to be added to a npc heartbeat script. Oh well guess I can hope but the creator has probably moved on to other projects.

LOVE Your script generator! Just amazing. I have one problem, though. Whenever I make a henchmen, I can't get them to follow me. I can ask them to become my henchmen, and then they do become my henchmen, but they don't follow me afterwards. Can anybody help me out? Thanks, ~Piano244

Drakosgrim, for a tech you're pretty dense. It's a script generator for an in-game scripting engine - you can't compile and run these scripts outside of a Neverwinter Nights module. These scripts don't run in the Windows Scripting Engine. They run in Neverwinter Nights. Just in case you missed it, they're Neverwinter Nights scripts written in NWScript for use in Neverwinter Nights and cannot be run from the command line, from Windows Explorer, from the KDE or Gnome desktops (in case you're a Linux elitist) or through any other medium except a Module in Neverwinter Nights. Got it?
