UOAbigail's Crafting System v0.8a This system is intended to be very easy to use, both for the module builder, and for the player. There are no cumbersome conversation menus in this system. This system is entirely drag-n-drop. This system includes everything needed to setup a crafting module in less than 10 minutes (other than actually designing the module areas and placing the resources into those areas) Please read the included README file for complete information. **** This version includes addition of greataxes and dwarven waraxes, as well as a comprehensive brewing skill. **** Thank you in advance. Yea, as to the cotton thing, the plant is giving you an item with a different tag, than what the spinning wheel calls for. _________________________ Doing it the only way I know how, the Hardway!

"...Hello I am just building a server with this crafting system though I have played on others who incorporate it. Only problem is when I get the cotton heads and use them nothing happens. Could someone please help me rectify this issue? I have been banging my head off the desk for a week now...."
Check the tag of the cottonhead against the wheels check. I remember that somewhere in there, is a bad call to a string. _________________________ Doing it the only way I know how, the Hardway!
Hi all !
Has anyone out there figured out or written the scripts for Gem Quarrying? I have this "latest" version and it has the Gem Quarry rocks with 2 scripts attached...however, there is no Gem Chisel nor Hammer that is supposedly required to mine gems. There is no Gem Quarry Skill script either, although the skill shows in the Skills Book. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
Dan

Ok folks I got a question for ya. I am in the process of adding this sweet system to my mod. Now I play on a server that uses this system as well. They have an enchantment table that you can add various adjustments to weapons and armor. However they are being incredibly selfish and wish not to share this particular script.
I read in the interview that there was an enchantment system written for UOA but not added, I think it was with Mojo. Is there and good enchantment "tables" out there that is compatible with this crafting system.

Found it....sugar cane and a bottle in the press makes sugarcane extract. That extract is placed into the brewing still to make a bag of sugar and carmel from it.
Yay! I don't have to add it to the general store's stock ;)

I did a search of the script mentioned many times and did not come up with item_syrup_003 anywhere in the script. I would have thought it would be there as well, which is why I searched it more then once. So I thought in my massive editing I love to do, I might have overwrote something. I searched the scripts in the sample mod I downloaded from here and couldn't find it as well. Perhaps it was updated and I didn't get it? Maybe. I'll try downloading a new copy:)
Thank you for the help...I will find this or add it in ;)

The Bag of Sugar is item_syrup_003 and if you search the script you will find that by using sugar cane in a farmer press you should get sugar.
Possibly also from honey and maple syrup (item_syrup_001) _________________________ The Best PW system is getting even better. PLATEMAIL Tech Preview

Ok, added version 8 and cep2 to Moonvale. I do have a few questions about the brewing system though. I did see that you can make the kegs, yeast, and such. Is there any items that isn't made, that i would have to add to a vendor?
I am wondering about bag of sugar. I see sugar cane but i can't seem to find how the sugar is refined. would make sense to be able to make it into sugar like the other stuff is made into flour, but i can't seem to find it. Any help is greatly appriciated.

After trying to find another mod with UOAbigail's system, I have put Moonvale (under role play...light role play*smile*) back online. At this time I am using the old version of the system, but plan to update soon. I'm dragging my feet because the scripts will overwrite all i have done to customize it for my mod. I have CEP in almost everything and alot of custom recipes added.
Is there any chance that the new items might be in a file seperate so as to not make much work for me (yes, I'm lazy), or were there too many tiny fixes?

flowbee, nikkial:
Ethynia is a Persistent World that still uses UOAbigail version 0.7c. We are listed in GameSpy under Role Play. Server Name: Forgotten Realms - Ethynia. Module Name: Ethynia - World Of Fantasy. Direct Connect: 207.255.119.163:5121
If UOAmbrosia is still reading these, I'd like very much for him to contact me, [email protected]. I'm interested in a collaborative project.

We have thought to use UOA CS in our Persistent World, but we would like to leave cartography, cloth dyeing, cooking and fishing out because we don't need those. That's what we have to do as well, because it seems we're somehow exceeding the maximum item count or something, because importing all erfs leads that the module cannot be started anymore.
Can you provide any insight whether it is possible to even leave those mentioned skills off? Are there some products from fishing, cooking etc that are required by the other crafts?

I love this system, and although I am aware that NWN2 is probably your current focus, I was hoping you could answer a couple of problems I am having on my PW.
I have placed all the module event scripts for your system as "EXECUTE_SCRIPT" types, and the whoe thing works, along with rideable horses and useable wings. But- the cotton does not work, and implementing this system seems to have fouled up my xp system too (no xp for monsters).
In the readme, you state that if the cotton does not work in a test, one must modify the "On_ActivateItem" script. I am wondering if you could tell me how exactly I need to modify this, and hopefully help me sort the XP problem too (I use Towan;s simple xp). _________________________ World of Abred Forums: Link

Hi everyone.
Need I say how wonderfull this system is. A friend and I liked it so much we made it into a hak pack to reduce the number of resources, cut the system in half by making all items, placeables and and creatures into the hak. I failed to put the docs into the hak and still recomend using the erf version unless you feel you may go over the 16000 limit. eiter way still download this one for the docs.
And thanks Abigail for a great system and the great support you have for your fans.

I love how it is so customizable with a little skill. I added alot of new recipes to cooking as well as the other skills as well.
I totally redid all the clothing, added gloves to leatherworking, as well as a few other changes. I didn't like having things in farming that weren't used in other skills as well. I'll share some of my scripts here in a few for ya'll.

If you are looking for ways to skill up faster, you can also multitask on a few more skills.
I fillet while fishing. It does switch it back to the pole when it casts again, but i have my "F" keys set to switch to the fillet knife and use fillet knife.
You can also multitask with spinning. That is when i seperate cotton.
We also have skill rooms on our server..with more then one machine per room. You can use more then one at a time if they are fairly close together. I have four looms set up, and three dye tubs..i just run from one to the next.
Only problem I have found with this, is that if it is waiting so many seconds for the next skill up and you have more successes, you could lose the opportunity to skill. I don't mind since it takes so long to skill max anyways.

Found the Spining Wheel hits way more often than the .1 per 10 sec, most skills still do. The wheel succedes almost every time and dings(advances skill lv) also. Keep up the work. Thanks _________________________ Doing it the only way I know how, the Hardway!

Really enjoying the opp. to mess around in the workings of your mind. One small suggestion, I have been working multiple skills up and therefore carry several commod bags, it would be extremly useful to be able to determine what is in them without having to open them. Thanks for listening. _________________________ Doing it the only way I know how, the Hardway!

I have been learning your system on our PW and I must say I enjoy it very much. The other fellow there think I am crazy for digging clay instead of killing goblins, but to each his own. I have to say I am hoping to be able to master all the skills and am working tirelessly to do so.
Thanks for the sweat. _________________________ Doing it the only way I know how, the Hardway!
