Description
***** Mil_Tailor Update for 1.67 *****

Now Mil Tailor is better than ever...

................................Update 1.67b (22 May 06)................................

Thanks to bloodsong, there is now a minor update that adds a fix to some small issues that could arise when resetting/reequipping the tailoring model's clothes, and allows PCs the option of setting the name of the item they are buying, instead of using a generic name or putting their name on it.

For those that haven't downloaded the 1.67 update, grab the full package. If you already have that update, you can get just the fix, which you need to import and overwrite. You will NOT need to replace or update instances of the tailoring models, it is just a few edited scripts and the edited dialogue.

When prompted to overwrite, you only need to overwrite the following files:

Dialogues:
mil_tailor

Scripts:
tlr_buycost
tlr_buycosthelm
tlr_buycostshld
tlr_buycostweap
tlr_buyhelm
tlr_buyoutfit
tlr_buyshld
tlr_buyweap

It also adds one new script:
tlr_setname
................................................................................ ......................

Mil_Tailor 1.67 Update:

o ALL the new colors introduced in the latest patch are available in clothing modification.

o Modifies clothing & armor, helmets, and now weapons and shields.

o More customization than ever before! By setting local variables on individual NPCs, you can specify exactly what may be sold, as well as whether purchasing items or copying item appearances is available to PCs.

o Allows the builder to modifiy prices on a per-NPC basis and for each thing sold, meaning that prices can vary throughout your world, and you can create very specific pricing schemes.

o Sets the name of all purchased items to Full Name's Outfit (or helmet, weapon, or shield).

o The builder has complete control over what clothing/shield/weapon appearances the player has access to, meaning you can restrict items you don't want in your world.

o Fixed the bug causing helmet colors to report incorrectly

o Fixed the bug causing armor to be dyed when choosing certain helmet colors

o Works with any haks you may have in place

If you are updating a previous version, you must overwrite and update instances of the Tailoring Models, then do a full module build. See the ReadMe for complete setup instructions.

Special note: Some haks allow weapons with "colors" 5-9 that have different models. Unfortunately, CopyItemAndModify uses ITEM_APPR_TYPE_WEAPON_COLOR as a parameter, and it only recognizes numbers 1-4. Therefore, players will not be able to access those colors, and if they try to modify a weapon which already uses one of them, they will receive a message saying they cannot modify that weapon.

Includes bloodsong's additions B1 & B2, making it the most complete version of Mil_Tailor available.

Includes erf, Demo Module, and a ReadMe. Enjoy, and remember to vote if you like it!

anybody else notice that the plot and nodrop flags are removed after tailoring? after a cursory view of the scripts, i'm guessing because it creates entirely new pieces of gear and deletes the old ones.

it looks like in "tlr_copynpcoutfit" (or helm, or cloak, etc) needs to first check if the original item is plot and/or nodrop before it copyandmodify's it. then at the end of main, it needs to reset the flags if appropriate.

NVM I got it working on my helmet.
But still none of the 1.69 robes :(

Does anyone know a fix?

Very nice tailor! Very well designed, I would give it a 10.

But it is missing the robes from update 1.69!! And I cant edit the color and style of my helmet or cloak.

Posted by BlakOrkz at 2009-02-18 15:16:26
Does this work with CEP2.2 and 1.69? Just wondering.

Posted by Fleshmelter at 2009-01-30 03:32:54
Seriously dude voted a 4.00 cause he overwrote 3 scripts that he didn't have too. Sad Sad, but anyway is there a possible update for this with 1.69 and CEP 2.2 compatibility?

After extensive testing, overwriting those three files causes major lag. I'm thinking it has to do with adding perceive event to every creature that spawns.

I went ahead and overwrote the three files in question. Is it really necessary to modify the default behavior of all the creatures in a module with default9?

When I imported the erf, it wanted to overwrite the following scripts:

x0_i0_match
nw_c2_default9
nw_o2_coinclude

Is this intended? I've customized these files in my module and would like to integrate the tailor update as opposed to overwriting.

Is the most recent update to make it 1.69 compliant? Does this work properly with 1.69?

Really thought I'd voted on this ages ago. This is an extremely useful resource, and pretty much bug-free as far as I can tell. The dialogue could be better, but then I'm always fussy about dialogue.

Excellent. Thanks!

Although i have had to fix a number of issues with this -- it is the best on the vault and a marvelous work. My player base loves this tailor as do I. Thanks ever so much or making this.

A fantastic system. I,however, did find quite a few bugs - notably an inability to limit specific armor classes as described in the documentation using variables. It incurred quite a bit of tidying up and bug fixing. Nonetheless, it still is an awesome system.

Posted by Rain In'Darsus at 2007-10-09 18:00:53
Does any one has a fixed weapon copy cost version of this script. The one I have charges for the weapon copy Modification even if I set the variable to 5 and cost 0.

The conversation the model gives you state that it will cost you 0, but the server message states that it cost x amount of gold to copy the modified weapon on your char.

Did anyone actually got this bug and fixed it, if yes would yo ube willing to give me the fixed script you use?

I has forgotten to vote. So i will do this now. A very useful System with small but acceptable bugs. Thanks for the good work.

Excellent system, probably the best, but it has some mistakes which has to be corrected before working correctly.. therefore the low score. But very good system anyways.

Have to add my vote to this. Excellent package. Has some flaws which had to be tracked down, but makes a PW tremendously more fun to play in.

Excellent system - only one of its kind I could find that really does a complete job. I have it installed in the OOC room of my campaign module, so players can re-tailor outfits as desired. Relatively easily modified as well.

There are some scripting errors and omissions, however even with these, which I fixed, this is the best ever and hands down above all other tailor systems. Thanks for this work.

Posted by stacy_19201325 at 2006-09-13 19:46:42
As far as I know - nothing. I believe they are referenced as an include and so are included in the erf. Don't worry about overwriting.

Hmm I just downloaded it and tried out the demo mod - it works fine for me. Try exporting the conversation from the demo mod and importing it into yours (and overwriting)?
