Recent events got me back into NWN work again so here is an update :)
Description:
Item properties forge with a few extras..
Requires:
NWN v1.69
Features:
- Add item properties to any item:
Item properties tables are read from 2DA supporting almost all properties available in the toolset. Full support for vanilla NWN and fairly smooth transition to custom content. CEP should work without any changes to code.
- Remove specific item properties from any item:
Pick and choose specific item properties to discard from a conversation generated list of all existing item properties.
- Modify the name and description of items with optional text coloring.
- Multiplayer support:
Multiple instances of the forge can run off of one conversation tree and local variables set without any extra setup work.

This is a really awesome set of tools you made here, honestly, I love them a lot, however, you didn't take the time to compile your scripts or you would have realized that you have compile errors.
So despite them being awesome items, you failed to complete the project like you should have.
I'd give you a 10 honestly, it's great work, but because it's not finished, and the scripts won't compile correctly I can only give you a decent vote, unfortunately.
If you can fix the script, I'd gladly change my vote to a 10.
Please update this sir, it's awesome work. _________________________ Here is a link to: My Other Submissions

Fantastic.
Thanks for this.

A must have for linux/mac users. The only thing I use to customize some magic items. I wish we had more options but this is probably limited by the game itself.

Great item editor. Use it all the time in PGC3. I only wish it still had all the item properties available once the PRC auto installer got down with the module...
Maybe hohos wants it to be used by everyone, instead of builders. In the form of a module, it is accessible to all that cannot incorporate scripts into a module, let alone create one. I would think that the word 'In-game' would be clear meaning enough why it is a module...
While this is a good system, it's clearly in the wrong section. The Author would do well to contact maxiumus and have him move it to the scripts section.

why is this a module? there is no adventure. maybe make it a prefab or script since your taking away potential real playable modules from the top list.
Please also note that stand-alone IGIPE here may not see any more updates (unless requested). I will be working with styzygy on further updates to PGC3+IGIPE.
Forum as in this page? No problem at all - in fact I just hadn't gotten around to making an announcement post yet - which I will after this.
And yes PGC3+IGIPE does address flags although I am thinking about adding in options to add flags for the sake of completeness.

hohos, I hope you don't mind me plugging our joint effort in this forum. Regarding the flags issue under discussion, I think it's well-addressed in our combined PGC3+IGIPE. Plot, stolen, and curse flags can be removed by the equipment seller NPC, outside the IGIPE-powered forge.
Neither mod currently lets you turn the flags ON. Not sure why someone would want that, but it wouldn't be hard to implement.

I'll see what I can do about including flag options.
At the moment v1.26 has options for toggling flags but v1.27 (one that works more like FOW) does not. There are some limitations involved with the need to take your item off and put in another object's inventory.
e.g. You wouldn't be able to move cursed items to the anvil for removing the flag. Also if you were to curse an item on the smith's anvil you wouldn't be able to take it off of the anvil.

Will the latest upcoming version allow us to alter flags? _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Recasting my vote in light of upgrades since I originally voted. The IGIPE system is brilliant!!!
Just a simple question. I dont do much module building but I like to play a lot of what the community makes. I have collected a lot of "undroppable" plot items, widgets and so forth... can I take my characters in this module and change the flag on these items so I can finally drop them and be rid of them?
I got a hak error, too, it said something like it was missing a required one. I tried v1.23 though, because I really wanted the appearance customization option, so that might be the problem?
Please note that v1.24 is less functional overall than v1.23. Those who have tried and liked the item appearence customization in versions 1.19 through 1.23 please keep v1.23.

This is a wonderful package, amazingly comprehensive if not the prettiest. I would love to be able to use a version that can be accessed off the crafting menu - is this possible? I've tried to take the FPC_HOST out of the equation (referencing the player instead) but haven't been able to make any headway with it. I admit I don't have much of an idea what I'm doing with NWN scripting...
It's been a while since I updated this thing or posted here. I have been away for a while. Here's a new version 1.18 for CEP 1.53.
- Most of the code for this version has been rewritten to work more efficiently (i.e. it's less dumb than it used to be).
- The module itself is called "Item Customizer". The shorter name is more conveninent for me.
Sorry no PRC 3.0 support yet.

Answer: no, IGIPE does not work with PRC3.

Does IGIPE work with PRC3? 2.2 is no longer available.

PRC 3.0b has been released. It is a bit different from PRC 2.2, since it now has Psionics and other things.

Hi hohos,
Just a quick question. Could you please do an update to this great piece of yours? I've been using it to edit my localvault list and wondered if you could add a fuction of some sort that would allow for that to be done without having to restart the mod again, and again,and...
Btw, this is a looong time in coming and I hope to see more from you! Great job! the reason for the 9.50 has to do with what I just asked. _________________________ We are all born ignorant, but one must work to remain ignorant.

Does anyone know why this would have trouble running through an nwnx hosted server? Thanks in advance.
ironysteeth - thanks for the vote. PRC support sounds interesting, I'll definately look into it. Afterall, one of the focuses of this mod is versatility :)
In principle, any change to item property rules can be supported by just changing a few numbers in the code, but there are problems with 2DAs that are too long. PRC 2DAs are rather long so I'll need to optimise 2DA reading a bit..
