Please note the Gestalt Cutscene Scripting System is the latest version of this package - it includes all the old camera functions and a lot of new functions to help set up and abort cutscenes and control character movement, dialogue and special effects.
Add dynamic, accurately timed camera movements to your modules with a single line of code! Perfect for giving cutscenes and scripted sequences a more cinematic feel, these easy-to-use functions can smoothly rotate, tilt and zoom the camera, pan between two stationary objects, track a moving object or even produce a horror survival style fixed camera system. And best of all the whole thing is fully documented!
Simply unpack the zip file into your NWN directory - you should get an erf containing the source code in your erf folder and the manual and demo module in your modules folder.
As seen in the Lord Of Blight and Dreamcatcher series, Foreboding In Sylvani, Silver Darkness and many other modules.

5718 downloads...and only 24 votes?? C'mon people ... show your support and vote!! It surprises me this hasn't been placed in the Hall of Fame based off itself. Such an awesome tool, it makes cutscenes sooo easily a caveman can do it. *chuckles at the pun* Wish I could vote twice. _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.

Awesome script, I've been using it for a while to do cinematics - doing it the Bioware way was just tedium, I love it.

Love the way you can make cutscenes with only a few basic steps instead of the difficult scripting what was normally the case. _________________________ Dark Lord Azagthoth

I love it. Many of the functions have come in handy in other parts of my MOD as well as cutscenes. A work of art! 10+++

Hey Gestalt! Loved your system so much, that I had to come and vote for ya when I saw the 2.0 version released. I hope the system carries through to NWN2, Look forward to the future releases! _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.

This is an amazing breakthrough in modding and programming. Could someone please point this noob in the direction of triggering a cutscene from opening a door? OnUse, right? Help me?

This program is absolutely awesome, even for a noob who can't script for the life of her. The tutorial and all the little comments that come with the function descriptions make life so much easier! _________________________ "Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day. This is incredibly useful for the modules I've been making ("Escape the Mansion", in the vault now, and "In Those Silent Hills", release date unconfirmed) but I've a problem. If I make a script to lock the camera in one area, then later decide to move the camera, the view remains fixed in its previous position. I need to make another script to change the camera angle. While copying and pasting isn't exactly hard, it is annoying. Otherwise, this is perfect for the survival-horror ideas I've had. Thank you for your time.

Hey I love your scripting system but one question! When I attempt to script a tracking CS it allways says did not compile correctly no semicolen after expression! Could you please help me fix this problem I love your system and I really want to use it well! PS. When i try to imp[ort the ERF file it says i am missing a file something.ncss or something.
The Cutscene Scripting System is the newer one - it includes updated versions of all the old GestaltCamera functions as well as a lot of additional functionality for setting up and aborting cutscenes and handling dialogue, characters, visual effects and so forth.
I'm a little confused. What's the difference between this and the "Gestalt Cutscene Scripting System"? Do you use both, or is one newer than the other? I see that this one has a newer updated date, but I'm confused by the comment in the description that the other one is the "updated version" of this. Which do I use? Thanks.
