Welcome to "A Prince of Light, or Shadow," a Neverwinternights 2 Module designed as a retelling of the fairy tale, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves." In this Module you play as the Prince and you begin by meeting a dwarf named Sullen Sorrowstone while wandering a forest trail. From there, the adventure is yours to discover!
Tips & Notes:
Module is designed for new, Male melee characters, level 1.
You will receive the necessary xp to reach lvl 4 at the beginning of the module, when you accept the Quest.
Your dialogue choices are EXTREMELY important. They will determine what options you receive in future conversations.
There are TWO DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT ENDINGS. Play through twice to explore both the good and evil paths.
Read the Quest Journal updates frequently if you get stuck.
Read the COMPLETED QUEST JOURNAL ENTRIES for the complete END STORY.
All the module items are UNIQUE. No stock items!
Read the description on the BLOODMAIL if you take the evil path for even more back story on the witches!
It was a good try for a module with nice atmosphere & good amount of endings. Your idea of the Snowwhite fairy tale was good thinking, but it didn't seem that interesting to me. Could have needed some kind of deeper story to it; the idea and characters could have been explored & developed more. Good idea though! At times it also felt a lot like "run-and follow the linear plot line and kill the enemies on the way!"- plotline which made it a little boring, at least to me. But the way things are presented on the screen (like atmoshpere, characters & custom items) made up for it a bit. Your mod was good, but it wasn't so interesting that I'll go over a score of 6.50. Worth checking out though, if you don't have anything special to do. Thank you for your contribution Saorsa! :) _________________________ /Berra - NWN1 modules: Berra's Module Collection (All of Berra's NWN1 works) Interviews: NWN-PODCAST INTERVIEW & GOLDEN DRAGON AWARD INTERVIEW. A fun little module with good/evil paths and a nice twist in the story :) Interesting progression of the story, where characters try to divert you from your path. It was a nice experience.

Glad you had fun Steven :) If you read the Quest complete journal entry for the evil ending it'll give you the final bit of the story.

I enjoyed this module and appreciate your effort in creating it. The final conversation with Snow White was probably my favorite point. I played through with a good fighter first and everything went fine. I then played through with an evil fighter and initally ran into the mentioned bug after lying to the 3 daughters then confronting the Mother. I then reloaded and ignored the Witch while I checked out the mirror and sarcophogus. This updated my Journal to say I should go back and talk to the witch again, even though I hadn't talked to her at all yet. I did then talk to her. This time I was able to deny her and defeat all 4 witches, then save Snow White. I reloaded again and agreed to join the witches. This took me to a new room with the 4 witches and a chest. Here, it seemed to get stuck. The mother told me to equip myself, which I did. When I talked to her again, she just kept telling me to equip myself. At that point, since I was being evil anyway, I attacked and killed the Mother. I then determined that I couldn't damage any of the daughters, nor would they turn hostile when I attacked. They didn't try to help their mother either. The fact that I bothered to play through so many variations of the ending shows how interested I was.

Thanks, StC :-) Did anyone like the writing, story, or area design atmosphere? I felt those were the strong points. Given the nature of the contest I felt a simple, easy to play, but entertaining module was the way to go. I didn't want the devs to have to spend hours playing through. Also, my original plan was to have each witch send the player on a quest where they'd be faced with a critical moral dilemma, but I didn't have time and it may have exceeded the contest rules for gameplay, areas, and so on.

I seem to have forgotten to vote. _________________________ "You do well to flee, townspeople. I will pillage your lands and dwellings. I will burn your crops, and make merry sport with your more attractive daughters!" (Olaf the Troll, in 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer')

Interesting and quite enjoyable but a little too easy and with no real challenge. I played it three times; once as good, and twice as evil (because I hit the same bug as Thirdpres on the first evil run through). _________________________ "You do well to flee, townspeople. Overall this module is a nice but rather unspectacular adaption of Snow White. The battles on the road seemed rather pointless. The end battle was a little to easy for a 4th level fighter. Thanks for making this mod.

Darn, it looks like this little bug spoiled a lot of fun. Very sorry! I hope you choose to play through again as it's a pretty quick module. Again, very sorry! I am my only playtester and these things sometimes slip by! Every path works, btw. It's just the "Lying" path that breaks if you read the mirror's second option after killing the witches, as far as I can tell.

Yep, I ran into the same problem saorsa did.. unfortunately, I didn't have any saves so I'll probably have to replay the whole game. Overall, an okay mod, but I got a bit annoyed at that silly bug. Now I have to replay it over again!
