"Storm of Zehir" is the gift that keeps on giving. To that end, some modders decided, "Hey, why don't we add more dungeons to it." Traps were set, schemes schemed, and marriages ruined by calamitous plans for further adventures.
You, NWVault community, can now play some* of the fruits of this little project.
Includes:
Gnome Outpost(The Fred)
Halfling Village(Jet Truebow)
Graveyard & More(Shaughn78)
The Inn of Hidden Tales(kamalpoe)
Underground Temple(Dorateen)
Ancient Shrine(Brian)
Naga Cave & Additions(MikeLM9215)
Coiled Cabal Outpost(Wyrin_D'njargo)
Darkstrand Maw, Pit of the Eye Tyrant, Creator Den, Cape of the Wise Man(Chaos Wielder)
Wow, that's quite a few! The thing is, due to the varied nature of the universe, the level and location variance was nearly perfect. 6 new locations for Samarach and 6 new for the Sword Coast. There's new low level adventures and, yes, even an opponent more powerful than the final boss of SOZ(be ready to die). There's a good amount of content to be played around with, and I, with the support of the NWN2 modding community, hope you enjoy this addition as much as I do.
NOTE:
All the new dungeons are visible at the start. You do not need to "find" them. This was a conscious decision so that long time players of SOZ would not need to scour the map. This could, possibly, be altered in future additions.
INSTALLATION:
Included within the project are individual instructions. Follow them to the letter--it's for your own good, really. However, it ought to be clear enough.
Mod folder goes in the modules folder.
HAK goes in the hak.
OVERRIDE in the override.
The bmu(music) goes in the music folder.
The specific instructions for editing the campaign folder are provided in the download, as they are slightly more complicated.
I cannot stress enough, however, that you BACKUP ANY FILES THAT ARE GOING TO BE OVERWRITTEN. If I could type in capital-capslock, I would. I highly doubt future problems will occur, but being careful is its own reward.
KNOWN ISSUES:
Waypoints will sometimes not display their mapnotes immediately upon finding one of the new dungeons. Upon re-entering the overland map, however, it should appear.
Journals entries for the new areas are not working. This is due to the transfer from individual projects to the whole. I apologize to the authors who spent time on this subject and for the players who might appreciate their addition. I will try and fix this in an update.
* "Wait a second", you say, a finger now sternly pressed against my face, "What's this business about 'expansion', and why is that pesky *asterisk floating around?"
Both excellent questions. You see, there are future additions that will be added to this pack. There are more adventures forthcoming, and this entry will be updated. Now, as far as an ETA, I'll provide a loving answer I've always wanted to give: "It's done when it's done."
If you'd like to submit a dungeon/area for future inclusion, please contact me via the forum link or by email:
Thanks for making the new content available: this is good stuff. I'd like to help build areas for the next installment. _________________________ Ugly_Ducks Portfolio New Releases: Item Icon Booster: Gore Galor: Click Here Item Icon Booster: Loot Treasure: Click Here Combat City 24x24: Click Here Mine Quarry 2 Level Mine: Click Here [Other Endeavors] Terrain Texture Pack: Volume 1Click Here Item Icons: Volume 1 Click Here Loadscreen Pack: Vol.2 (Includes Vol.1) Click Here Longer Names Override: Click Here

Dorateen: I really enjoyed the Cup quest. Nice looking dungeon and good tail. I must have messed the endup somehow: SPOILER: I killed the red yuan-ti before taking a cup. After that I tried everything to get the cup but always get my lungs burned. Perhaps I cannot solve it now, so I left that unfinished. I will check back if you comment on a solution. Also, I was planning to double cross the vampire, maybe that is not possible either?? Thanks The Fred: the Gnome door is not worth the trouble. Nice idea but to time consumming to solve. But the dungeon was fun overall, best store in the early game too. _________________________ "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." ?Albert Einstein (Therefore I own a sword!)

Woah OK that's a LOT of spam. Yeah, sorry 'bout the Gnome leader, I managed to pin down the problem and fix it but some people have still had issues with the patch I made, it doesn't seem to be overwriting properly (possibly it has to be added before you get to that stage). _________________________ In production: The Dragon Dynasty All my other stuff

(Do we have any way to report spammers here? I do not like those spam comments.) Anyways, in windows 7, your override directory should be: Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\override\ If there was some way to make these places hidden, I would try this mod (and hope my game would not be ruined by overpowered items or bugs). But I am new to SoZ and I do not want to ruin its feel, yet. Maybe I should try this when I am near done?

Nice addition to SoZ. I had the same bug with gnome leader as everyone else, fought him downstairs but upstairs he´s friendly and even helps me fight the demon. Is there supposed to be any adventures to be found in halfling Village or just some trade? After the inn with the demons and the 2 super-power items lying on floor, can´t remember the name, my npc´s were suddenly immortal. Took me a little time to realize so had saved after that. Anybody know if I can switch that off? My main can still be hurt but not the rest of the party, makes it all a little too easy

Really... this much spam? OK R.E. Windows 7, I don't think this should work any differently. I have NWN2 working on Win 7 and you just put things in the same folder under My Documents (rather than the install folder). R.E. The Gnome Hideout, no sorry, there is no short-cut for the door. With hindsight I should probably have made one. Maybe in debugmode you could force open it somehow, but I'm not sure. I could probably make a patch with a bypass option but the last patch I did didn't seem to work for everyone (must've made a mistake in it somewhere, but when I copied the working stuff into an override it messed it up). _________________________ In production: The Dragon Dynasty All my other stuff

Has anyone got this working with Windows 7 64 bit operation system? Just got a new machine and re-installed everything but it wont let me enter the first new dungeon "the sun draped den". It recognizes the object but never brings up the screen to enter. In the mod instructions it says to place many files in "MyDocuments" which is in a different place in Windows 7 its in the "Users" folder instead of documents and settings like it used to be. I copied the files there but that didnt work. Ideas?

The Gnome Puzzle door, is there any work arounds it, I've spent several hours and the best I get is 8 out of 9 and it's getting frustating.
10 - A Masterpiece, Genuinely Groundbreaking 9 - Outstanding, a Must Have 8 - Excellent, Recommended to Anyone 7 - Very Good, Deserves a Look 6 - Good, Qualified Recommendation 5 - Fair, Solid yet Unremarkable 4 - Some Merit, Requires Improvements 3 - Poor Execution, Potential Unrealized 2 - Very Little Appeal 1 - Not Recommended to Anyone
