I liked it, some refreshing ideas well done in this mod
When wave 1 is done, the second wave pops up. When wave 2 is done, the journal is updated and some inhabitants pop up.
It is likely that either wave 1 or wave 2 is not finished yet. Look for remaining foes, especially north east.
Anyway here is a console command to update the journal : rs sd_debug_quest("q_samurai", 50)
Kikuchiyo might have been killed. He is not essential though. _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)
I made it to part 2 and I'm really enjoying the campaign, but I'm afraid I'm stuck and would really appreciate some help! I did the fortress Fuhuryuji quest first and then went to the village of Yamate. We killed all the enemies, but there is no update. The first time I did it Kikuhyo says nothing after the fight. I went to Manzo and he just says the bandits are attacking. I then went to Gisaku and he just says the attack began and go help. The second time I did the fight Kikuhyo never even appears after it's over! Is there a console code you can give me to update my journal and the quest?
Just realized I didn't vote for part 1 so I'll head over there.
All 8 are either in Kyoto or in Gion, including houses. As the poet said (if you met him and if he somehow agreed to help) 'objects and animals can talk'.

Hey, quick question. I'm in Kyoto in the middle of the "find the poem" quest. I've found 6 of the 8, and I think I've scoured all of Kyoto and Gion. Do I have to go outside of those areas to find the last two? Thanks.

I was a Japanese language major in college so part two was like a road down memory lane for me. However, I miss the party members from part one :(

The liquid add +4 to any already existing AC bonus. The elven chaimail is AC Base 5 + AC Bonus 3. It becomes AC base 5 + AC Bonus 7.
Considering some opponents ... a rather helpful liquid :-) _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)

elven chaimail is sold at ctc dark elf city and dark dwarve city i believe ,the liquid of craft say a huge boost but +12 is beyond that ,if u consider it had base 5 and 4 with dex:)
Thank you for your kind appreciation and your vote Caeljin2.
Glad you enjoyed the samurai part!
I honestly don't rememner where I put the elven chaimail. Let me know so I can check. _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)

Well,it was a surprise to me !!!!
Wanted to play a samurai module a long time and now the opportunity !!!!
i know theres some samurai modules for nwn1 but there is good ones for nwn2 here ?
YES,i know it isnt the place to put it,its more a module 3 question but im not done yet the 3....are u sure about the craft of the elven chainmail ? actually playing with a sun elf swash\wiz\eld.kina and i get still feat only to use it :)
I'm sure you will manage. As you mentionned it, traps and firebombs help. Acid too, they are metallic after all :-(
[SPOILER]
The "Blasters" and the "rocket launcher" are quite effective too.
The idea is to lure them if possible one by one with the stealthiest character and to lead them close to the gallery entrance. So if things turn bad the party can jump in the gallery to reheal and reload.
It is relatively easy to lure the first alone, but you may have to face the last two simulteanously.
Animal companions should be invoked first, then as much creatures as possible as soon as a sentry closes the party. While the sentry deals with the creatures, pound him with fire arrows / bolts, grenades, ...tov. If a sentry gets "cloaked", just wait and synchronize your attack when it becomes vulnerable again.
In order to make things less difficult you may choose an option when you are about to leave Otsu, from the hardest (or normal) option (3 sentries), the intermediate (2 sentries), to the easiest (1 sentry). _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! No problem. I finished the main part of the mod with a party of 5 and it worked quite well. Sorry about being unclear about the missions but I wrote that first post when I wasn't home and didn't have the japanese names at hand. Glad you found it, though.
I'm currently trying to battle my way through the final fight of chapter 2 on normal difficlty. It's still a pain. :-)
I will eventually manage, I am sure of that, but is there any recommended strategy for the three sentries? Just out of curiosity...
A level 10 fighter with +3 weaponry can't hit them, magic doesn't work and as soon as the sniper transforms into a horned devil (does that even makes sense?) it's time for a reload because of the elemental immunity. So far the only thing that helps is traps or firebombs.
Oh well, I did it last time, I'll manage again, but that fight is eeeevil...
I found it. The culprit is in a test, a 'if (c = 60)' which forces the value instead of testing it. It should be a 'if (c == 60)' instead.
So starting by the Kurikara pass makes one ronin available whether you had payed the training or not and kills the possibility to hire a second ronin.
You may resume the quest by revert setting the journal thru the console :
rs sd_debug_quest("q_ronin", xx) xx = 40 if you chose the woman, xx = 50 if you chose the man.
Pay the second traning, and since you have already done all the Lord's 3 missions + the jewel quest :
rs sd_debug_quest("q_ronin", 70)
Then hire the second ronin.
I've always thought that the C family languages are much too permissive. A Pascal compiler would have trapped the error! Something like 'if (c:=60)' in a test is simply impossible in Pascal. _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! Hello,
THey all 4 possible points which trigger the quest's advancement (when the journal adavances to : 'a ronin has been trained'. They look ok and correctly conditionned by the journal which should say 'you have made a first/second donation ...' just before.
It would help me if you can tell me in which exact order you did the lord's quest and the jewel's quest. Which pass exactly did you first, Jizo (jewel) or Kurikara? _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)

Hey,
just a quick feedback. I'm in the midst of replaying the whole trilogy with a rogue becausee I wanted to do the quests I had missed the first time and I noticed something odd.
I did the three Lord's quests in the wrong order, or at least not in the order Tomoe suggested, an it totally screwed up the ronin-for-hire quest.
I did the pass-quest first and suddenly got the female ronin right afterwards allthough I hadn't payed for any training yet. After that I was never able to hire the male ronin.
No gamebreaker and not essential, but you might want to look into that.
Thanks again for your appreciation and your vote, Avo.
It's difficult to add comments about Part 2 without spoiling too much Part 3, so enjoy Part 3. _________________________ ______ NWN2 campaigns : A Slave Destiny (Français), 16 Cygni (Français/English), Sarmates! (Français/English)

Finished with part 2.
Basically I stand by what I said about Pt.1 The groundbreaking thing about the 16Cygni campaign is the atmosphere and the setting. Once again you have taken the visuals of NWN2 and warped them into something completely different.
The Space Station intrerlude was great. I wouldn't have thought that an airlock is possible in NWN2. The same goes for the medieval Japan setting. A lot of detail an research went into that. Very, very well done.
I think my most favourite moment of this episode was Kyoto and the search for the poem. Btw., I haven't mentioned this in my review for Pt1, you have a real talent for different quests. Especially those not involving combat. Very refreshing...
So, minor quirks?
- My biggest complain, storywise, is that it felt like a standalone and not like part of the series. The whole sci-fi storyline was practically left aside for the whole time except for the final fight. Since you had gone to great lengths to establish the alien conspiracy in Pt. 1 it felt like a letdown for me. Like something I have to muddle through to get on with the plot later.
- One of the limits of using NWN2 in a setting that it was not meant for is the lack of different enemies. Fighting the same type of samurai or monk got a bit repititive after a while.
- I still stand by my comment towards the sexual encounters. Compared to the rest of your storytelling they seemed bland and forced into the plot. Something that semmed better in Part 3 as far as I can tell by now... More romance and sexyness, less mindless humping like rabbits.
Overall I still enjoyed it a lot, just not as much as Part 1. Hence a slightly lesser vote to reflect my gaming experience.

The series just keeps me fully involved and immersed, even the English translation and usually major (for me), companion switch does little but slow the pace a bit. Evocative area designs to match the very interesting story with fully realized companions to share it with, thanks again for making these campaigns.

Hello , I just finished all 3 modules and decided to vote on all of them. I waited to vote for all of them because midnight and dawn left a scar of trilogies on me...
Great work of deep characters and lore, skills in dialogue, a good deal of game customization and semi-challenging combat (on hard mode) all the way through.
The adult setting of the tale really sets an interesting mood as it deals with situations in more of a shades of gray way on several occasions rather than dealing with just the fan service and eye candy and although linear, the choices you make affect characters around you, although a benefits system such as in MotB with tangible benefits could take things even further, but I'm not sure of the full extent of the existing system as I was mostly good and kind to my party.
Another thing that I find could have enhanced this great experience would be some class specific actions that could make some situations more interesting, like checking if someone in the party had charm and using it in dialogue, cleric blessing and curing for favors and so on.
The second module focuses on mystery and *Spoiler* somewhat real human japan past *Spoiler* and deals with the sci-fi element much less, also forces players to conform to roleplay a person from that period so they do not cause negative affects, and at this point I personally missed showing off superior technical and tactical knowledge. This mod has a challenging end fight but knowing the game rules and making the right choices and the right preparations makes it a breeze.
Much like The Maimed God's Saga this is a gem for NWN2 and with higher production values could have been a standalone game or at least a top quality premium mod. _________________________ "Be at ease mortal, for in a single swing I shall take you to the sea of gray mirror glass"
