HCR2 for NWN1 v1.50. (FINAL)
This is a Core Scripting Framework plus importable rulesets that comprise the classis set of the HCR rules. (rest, death, corpses, bleeding and loot) This is NOT backwards compatible with old versions of HCR. It is completely different and fully documented. This is the preliminary scripting framework that will be used as the starting base for HCR in NWN2. It is very important to read the included documentation. Anyone that is still planning/hoping to do PWs that want to use a scripting framework and/or use HCR in NWN2 should take a look. The changes between this version and the old HCR, are too signifigant to recommend any attempts to use this on modules/world currently using HCR v3.04. However those working on brand new NWN1 will still want to take a look.
This is the Final "gold" release of HCR2 for NWN1.
An alternate version of HCR2 for NWN2 can be found under NWN2 scripts.
Don't have WinRar?

Base Modules HCR2_Core_Only is the core framework script set only with no rulseset systems in place. HCR2_Main is the core framework plus the 5 basic hardcore rulsesets (rest, death, corpses, bleeding, loot) imported into and set up with defaults.
Three PDF documentation files, one for module builders, with an FAQ. One for subsystems designers, and one covering some optional subsystems. Make sure you read these thoroughly before attempting to set it up or asking questions.

This is a great set of Core scripts, only thing I cannot get to work ater days of working is:
I set in the h2_pccorpse_c the value to have PC's resurrected by other PC's suffer an XP penalty and this is how it looks:
//Can be TRUE or FALSE.
//Set this to TRUE if you want the raised PC to endure the PHB XP loss upon being raised or ressurected.
const int H2_APPLY_XP_LOSS_FOR_RESS = TRUE;
BUT, after testing it, I can succesfully rez players with other Clerics PCs but they wont suffer any XP penalty! This is really frustrating anyone could help me??!!
Thx, and again for sharing such a powrful system.

Truly, truly, truly incredible work! A phenomenal system. Magnificent.
Any way to make a fugue-based respawn system with this that will destroy the body of the slain PC from where they last died?

Although you could guess by looking at some of the comments below, the documentation concerning the OnSpellHook event is incorrect. It says that spellhook module event scripts should be tied to the variable "OnSpellhookX", but it should be "OnSpellHookX". The picture at the end of the subsystem developer's guide shows the correct way. If you don't capitalize that H, your scripts won't work. Perhaps it's not that big a tip, but knowing that would have saved me hours and hours of trying to track down my problem. _________________________ Shadows & Silver PW Development Blog
Does anyone have a mod that can be used for a base starter for, with the HCR2 and all or most of the subsystems and DMFi tools working? I think that would be something a lot of D&D DMs you like. It also might help more people to step up and start DMing more using NWN.
If anyone has something like this could I get a copy?
Thanks for your time.

I really like the idea, and many of the systems are priceless, however I am having trouble with the OnClientEnter1 variable not running the script, it also doesn't seem to run from the area client enter, but does run the script when places as an Area OnEnter. Any ideas as to why?

HCR has always combined the best common options for most mods, and is especially helpfull for a PW, so that you don't have to use many different author's systems. A great one stop solution. _________________________ It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion, it is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning, it is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

First of all, sorry for my English.
I actually registred on the vault just to post this comment. This is far the best core ever made for NwN. The Scripting is flawless, the documentation is very extensive and user-friendly, and the format used in the core's scripting are easy-to-read... You are one very talented scripter. This one is so much better than the older version, i just like to say THANK YOU! Thank you for making this clean, simple, functional and useful ruleset. I'm giving you a well deserved Top Score, and i just feel bad to know that you are working on NWN2 Scripting, In my opinion, NWN1 is superior in almost every way.
My only complainment (Its actually more like a request) is that i spent some time configuring all of the optional subsystems, and i think you should include a Base Module with all the Main Core Scripts plus all of the SubSystems included along with it.
An absolute MUST for old-school RPGers looking to add realism to their adventures. Awesome!

Great scripting work, to say the least.

Anything set as infinite in a merchant store, erases variables. The solution is either to sell them as singles or have a scripted merchant. _________________________ Dream Well, Faith, Loyalty, Truth, Honor, Friendship always.....

mentions capability for nwnx2 yet gives no way of easy migration for those who are not scripters. For those that are ..still inadequate since it implies hours of work.

Great to see this d/load. I wiped all HCR stuff and moved to NWN2 for a few weeks - but it needs a great deal more in the way of patches before I will abandon NWN1.
I'm glad to be back! Long live HCR!
Now to replacing all my custom scripts I lost :( _________________________ Trev
