I must admit I'm not a great fan of humourous modules. Humour within a module is fine if it has a place in the story, but I prefer my stories to have a serious element to them. Having said that, I did enjoy playing this and chuckled in several places. Talking to the statue reminded me of Sir Robin crossing the Bridge of Woe in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The Kobold village felt good, as I have come to expect from anything using the ambient system. indeed, technically there is much to this module that is done very well and helps illustrate technical ability. The way the labyrinth reveals itself is a fine example of this. However, I did struggle to maintain interest when travelling within it. Conversations were entertaining, even when not involving the PC. The opening cut scene painted the situation nicely, and made me laugh at the Kobold who was told to "Shaddup". I did however feel that the style of speech for the Kobolds wasn't consistent. Bad english was fun, but they'd occasionally speak in a style that suggested their language use was far better in some parts of their conversation. I'd imagine good use of area design will be an integral part of what the judges are looking for, but I'm afraid I found the module fairly ordinary in this respect. For the technical aspects, fun and story telling, I think I'd give this a 9.5, but for other issues I'd be leaning more toward 7.5, so I'm going to meet you halfway and give 8.5. Definately worth the download and play, but with room for further polishing. _________________________ View my blog regarding the Relbonian Chronicles project --> Link

This has great npc scripting and dialog. I thought the maze was big and empty. Cutscene at the beginning had good dialog but not much camera movement. Dance at the end was really good.

I had the opportunity of testing this wonderful little module just prior to its upload, and honestly it reminded me of the reason why I have been playing and loving NwN all these years :-D nereng has a diverse range of skills, and this offering deploys them to excellent advantage. If there are any contest modules better than this, or even close to it, then I'd appreciate people PMing me and providing a link. There has been a general consensus that decent mazes are impossible using the NwN platform. This module forever lays that notion to rest. If you value your health then make sure that there are soft things surrounding your chair, because its highly likely that you'll fall out of it laughing :D Grab this product. Play it, love it. It's so very fun, and the professional polish of it lays down the challenge to every other contestant. Thanks a bunch for this, nereng, and the very best of luck, mate!!
