Description
WARNING: THIS MODULE DOES NOT CURRENTLY WORK WITH HOTU, AND MAY NOT WORK WITH v.1.61 AT ALL. I'll fix it when I can, but that involves a bunch of uninstalling/reinstalling expansions, and a friend has some of my NWN disks right now. The problem is with polymorphing into a raven to fly back to your lair, which isn't necessary to finish the mod but eliminates a LOT of walking since you go back home often to build new skeletons. In Bone Kenning you play a thanaturge, a necromancer from a long family tradition who animates bones through a ritual called the Incant of Reanimation.
Nope - the author seems to have gone bye-bye, sadly. He listed a fix to the problem before he left, though. Just check further down the board.

The main reason I enjoyed this module, in spite of its brevity, is that it allowed the play of a classic witch. You have this hodge podge of abilities that fit thematically very well, and were originally quite well executed. It's a shame that it appears to have died in the interem. It was a great start to a story.

er, i take it back. i get all the way to near the very end, where your "grandfather" is supposed to have a discussion with the queen. However, it will not trigger, no matter what i try, and threfore the final golem will not raise, and so there is no way to complete the mod. so: fair warning to all; it appears the author has gone bye-bye, and there is no fix for this. I would normally rank this about a 7.5, but I have to give this mod a 6 simply because of this one VERY large problem. I followed all the authors recommendations for removing ai enhancers etc., so this error must have occured because of the 1.64 patch. overall tho, i find it puzzling this mod recieves such high marks. it is short, not overly interesting, with smallish areas and a tiny plot. other than the interesting gadgetry with the minion raising, there really isn't much to say. I have a tendency to rank mods lower that rely on gimicks instead of well fleshed out plots and gameplay, but that's just me. This would be more interesting if it was simply a part of a larger mod, or the first part in a larger story. cheers

@Royhan101: actually, i'm playing it with both expansions and the latest patches and finding no problems (except for the experience thing, which i'm sure isn't related to the expansions). even the xform to raven teleport thing seems to work fine. what problems are you running into?

I am getting 0 experience for killing things, with or without thralls. any ideas as to why?

I remember playing this and its really good. The thing is you really need to upgrade compatibility. Just about everyone has both expansions now. Also it would be nice to see a sequel when your done with that although i suspect that this series is dead
